DAO and Histamine

Diamine Oxidase (DAO) is the primary enzyme responsible for breaking down extracellular histamine. A deficiency in this enzyme can lead to Histamine Intolerance.

Study Results

This study demonstrated that supplementation with porcine kidney-derived DAO enzyme before meals significantly reduced symptoms in patients with histamine intolerance.
